Well, actually, I am pretty sure I have. Nothing to crucial on it, but it could be used to log in to my evernote and email, so have busied myself changing all the passwords on those. It had my MSc and teaching portfolio as well, but they were all anonymised, boring and backed up. It is a shame as it was 16Gb, a very handy size for keeping a backup of images on holiday. It also had all my favoured photo portable apps and a persistent install of Linux Mint. I have recreated the MSc and teaching portfolio data on a encrypted usb, but the biggest usb I have now is just 2Gb, enough for half a day of photos!
We had the Digital Photo Workshop day today in aid of the church. I was feeling a bit pressed, so only went after lunch. It was a good day, my session was presenting free and simple software, which seemed to be pretty applicable for about 80% of the participants, so a good choice. We looked at all the favourites, PictureNaut, AutoStitch, RawTherapee and of course Picasa.
Next time I think I need to do an indepth session, maybe HDR in the morning, panoramas in the afternoon. Other topics that would be good are creative filters, bags, supports, infrared, getting the most from a compact etc.
